Korean Air (003490.KS) said Sunday it has launched a pre-order in-flight meal service for first-class passengers on long-haul routes departing from overseas, effective June 1.
The service allows passengers to select their preferred menu before the aircraft's departure. It was first introduced in January 2023 for prestige-class passengers on select international routes and was expanded to first-class passengers on international flights departing from Korea in October 2024. With this latest expansion, first-class passengers on long-haul flights departing from overseas can now access the same service.
The service covers a total of nine routes, including Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago and Washington in the United States, as well as Paris, London and Frankfurt in Europe. Pre-ordered menus will be served on board starting with flights departing on June 22. Passengers can reserve their preferred in-flight meal menu through Korean Air's website and mobile app from 21 days before departure.
