CJ CheilJedang (097950) said on the 31st that it held Bibigo seaweed sampling events at home games of Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer and the San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball.
The events were part of the Sea-Sports Project, a new program launched this year by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and were held under a campaign run by the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives to promote GIM, the integrated global brand for Korean seaweed. CJ CheilJedang took part as a key campaign partner, handling two of the seven events organized by the federation and providing 2,000 packs of Bibigo seaweed.
At the first event, held at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on the 15th of this month, Bibigo seaweed was distributed to fans attending the match between Los Angeles FC and San Diego FC. The second sampling took place on the 29th at Oracle Park in San Francisco, targeting spectators at the game between the San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Bibigo banners were installed inside the stadiums, alongside influencer invitations and social media promotion.
"It was meaningful to be able to introduce the taste of Bibigo seaweed to sports fans in the United States through our collaboration with the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives," a CJ CheilJedang official said. "We will work to ensure that consumers around the world can enjoy Korean seaweed as part of their daily lives through Bibigo."
