Hyundai Motor Group said on the 3rd that it won a total of 16 prizes at the 2026 IDEA Design Awards hosted by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), including two gold, one silver, three bronze and 10 finalist awards.
The IDEA Design Awards are considered one of the world's three most prestigious design competitions, alongside Germany's iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award. Since 1980, the awards have selected the best designs in each category based on a comprehensive assessment of design innovation, user benefit and social responsibility.
Hyundai Motor's (005380.KS) E3W & E4W Micro Mobility Concept and the Naau Restaurant Book from Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) each took the top gold prize, in the concept and advanced design category and the branding category, respectively.
The E3W & E4W Micro Mobility Concept, first unveiled last year, reinterprets the motor rickshaw, a three-wheeled vehicle used for daily transport in India, as a future electrified platform. Built around a compact body suited to India's congested urban environments and a flexible seating layout, it proposes a practical design capable of handling passenger transport, logistics and emergency support.

The Naau Restaurant Book documents the brand philosophy and origins of Naau, a Korean restaurant inside HMGICS. It was recognized for excellence in brand storytelling, capturing in detail its collaboration with three-Michelin-star chef Corey Lee, its ties to Korean artisans, and Korean culture and contemporary aesthetics.
Genesis' high-performance concept model, the Magma GT Concept, won a silver award in the automotive and transportation category. The Magma GT Concept represents the peak of the brand's performance vision of "luxury high performance."
Bronze awards in the branding category went to Hyundai Heritage Stellar & Sonata Retrace Magazine, heritage brand content spotlighting memories shared between cars and their owners, and to Hope on Wheels, a global childhood cancer support campaign that has helped spread the social values of care and hope.

Kia's PV5 Infotainment System, an infotainment system dedicated to purpose-built vehicles (PBVs), won a bronze award in the digital interaction category, recognized for expanding the vehicle beyond a means of transport into a digital service space and for presenting possibilities for new mobility experiences.
Finalist awards went to Hyundai Motor's UX Studio Seoul and its robotics platform MobED, Kia's (000270.KS) global campaign "Kia x The Ocean Cleanup, Making Waves of Change Together," and the Genesis G90 Wingback Concept.
An official at Hyundai Motor Group said the awards "prove the design competitiveness of Hyundai Motor Group across brand experience, digital interfaces and social value," adding, "We will continue to present innovative designs that enrich customers' lives and offer a sustainable future."
