Hanwha Forena, the residential brand of Hanwha's construction division, has placed near the top in a series of recent surveys of major apartment brands in South Korea, underscoring its rising competitiveness.
In a recent survey of apartment brand image conducted by Budongsan114, Hanwha Forena ranked third with 32.2%, behind Hyundai Engineering & Construction's Hillstate at 37.4% and GS E&C's Xi at 33.6%, the construction division said on the 17th. Despite launching only in 2019, the brand made the top three among names expected to grow, a sign of how quickly its standing has climbed.
In Gallup Korea's 2026 Apartment Brand Quality Index (ABQI), which measures satisfaction with quality as perceived by residents, Hanwha Forena ranked fifth overall, behind Xi, Lotte Castle, Hillstate and Raemian. The brand scored 87.6 points for interior materials and finishing quality — a key factor in satisfaction with indoor space — placing second in that category and drawing strong marks from residents.
The company expects brand recognition to rise further as its construction division builds on gains in redevelopment orders this year. Cumulative orders from urban redevelopment projects reached 1.3 trillion won this year, already surpassing the roughly 770 billion won booked for all of last year.
"We will continue to strengthen the distinctive design and product competitiveness that set Forena apart, and grow into a brand customers can trust," an official at Hanwha's construction division said.
