Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) began accepting applications on Sept. 22 for 235 new employees to be hired in the second half of this year.
The openings consist of 211 Grade 5 positions and 24 Grade 6 positions. By job category, 74 are administrative and 161 are technical, more than double the administrative total. Grade 5 administrative openings cover general administration, law, accounting, information systems and national heritage, while Grade 5 technical openings cover civil engineering, urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. Grade 6 openings are in general administration on the administrative side and civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering on the technical side.
There are no restrictions on education, age or work experience. However, applicants for Grade 5 technical positions and some administrative fields must hold engineer-level certifications. Grade 6 applicants must have completed, or expect to complete, high school as their highest level of education.
The document screening stage is based solely on quantitative measures such as language test scores and certifications. Personal statements are submitted only by applicants who pass the written test and are used as reference material during interviews. LH said the change is intended to improve fairness in evaluation and ease the burden on job seekers.
Applicants who are national merit recipients or people with disabilities will be recruited through separate application categories in line with legally mandated employment quotas.
Applications close Sept. 29. A written test will be held Oct. 25, followed by interviews in November, with final selections to be made in December. Those selected are scheduled to be appointed as hire-track interns within the year.
LH will hold online information sessions using KakaoTalk open chat rooms for two days starting Sept. 22, the first day of applications, and will also operate a dedicated recruitment call center. Further details are available in the recruitment notice posted on the LH website.
Last year, LH hired 472 new employees at Grades 5 and 6, 170 at Grade 7 on open-ended contracts, and 826 young interns on work-experience programs. In the first half of this year, it hired 262 at Grades 5 and 6, 187 at Grade 7 and 820 young interns.
"This is a critical time when we must concentrate all our capabilities on carrying out the government's policy to expand housing supply without setbacks and on achieving housing stability for the public," LH President Lee Sung-hoon said. "We plan to hire outstanding talent with professional expertise to bring vitality to our work sites and add speed to housing supply."
