Yojin Construction & Industry delivered gifts and donations to a children's welfare facility ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The company said on the 23rd that it visited Korea Children's Home in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, on the 22nd to hold a Chuseok gift-sharing event.
At the event, Yojin Construction provided daily necessities, food and cash donations for children at the home. Kim Sun-kyu, executive vice president of Yojin Construction's corporate planning office, and Lee Jin-sun, director of Korea Children's Home, attended the handover ceremony.
Yojin Construction has provided donations and goods to Korea Children's Home every holiday and anniversary. The company said the activity is aimed at spreading a culture of sharing.
"We prepared this donation to share warmth and goodwill with the children as the abundant Chuseok holiday arrives," an official at Yojin Construction said. "As a company marking its 50th anniversary, we will continue to treat coexistence with local communities as an important value and carry on sustainable social contribution activities."
Based on the management philosophy of late founder Choi Jun-myung that "the biggest business is the business of raising people," Yojin Construction runs a range of social contribution programs, including support for Korea Children's Home, scholarships for the Yojin Children's Good Deed Award in Yeonggwang County, and the operation of Hwigyeong Academy and the Yojin Construction golf team.
