ONE Store has lowered the bar for listing games on its app market, allowing anyone to register a title built with artificial intelligence. The company said on Sept. 29 that it is opening AI Games, a dedicated AI game section launched in August, to all developers.
ONE Store said the move is intended to give individual and small-scale developers a stage to reach users and to broaden the game creation ecosystem. The company judged that while making games has become easier — with a growing number of cases of "vibe coding," in which a game is completed simply by conversing with AI — there are too few distribution channels for showcasing and monetizing them.
Any developer who has built a game using AI tools can register the product on ONEconsole, the developer center. ONE Store will give priority in introducing the more polished titles to users. Web games that require no installation will be supported first, and developers can earn revenue through in-app payments and in-app advertising by integrating the software development kit for web games provided by ONE Store.
Accessibility has also been improved. The revamped AI game menu, launching early next month, will appear at the bottom of the ONE Store app, letting users reach it in a single tap. The new menu will display games from Verse8, which has curated AI games with ONE Store since August, alongside games from newly registered developers.
"The rapid advance of AI models is accelerating a paradigm shift in which high-quality, entertaining AI games are pouring out at tremendous speed," ONE Store Chief Executive Officer Chang Hyun-guk said. "ONE Store will actively embrace this change and become the mobile distribution platform for AI games."
