Kiturami Group is rolling out a new corporate advertisement built around the heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology used in core Korean industries including semiconductors, rechargeable batteries and nuclear power plants.
The group said on the 1st it was releasing the ad, titled "Sixty Years of Heating and Cooling Technology at the Heart of Korea's Core Industries," featuring actor Ji Jin-hee, its brand ambassador. Kiturami has run corporate advertising campaigns since 2022 to publicize its expansion from a boiler specialist into a comprehensive heating, cooling and energy group. Its recent campaigns have focused on HVAC technology used at major industrial sites such as semiconductor plants, battery factories and nuclear power stations.
The advertisement opens with people from around the world touring an exhibition devoted to Korea's core industries. Alongside sculptures representing semiconductors, rechargeable batteries, nuclear power plants and submarines, 3D footage shows the HVAC technology applied at industrial sites. A narration follows — "At the heart of it all is Kiturami's 60 years of heating and cooling technology" — before Ji appears and delivers the message, "Kiturami, a comprehensive heating, cooling and energy group."
Kiturami broadened its business into cooling, air conditioning and energy from the 2000s, when the domestic boiler market entered a period of stagnation. Kiturami Range Air Conditioning, the top domestic maker of cooling towers, and Shinsung Engineering, the leading domestic supplier of dry room systems for rechargeable batteries, are expanding around semiconductors, batteries and AI data centers. Century, the top domestic maker of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment for nuclear plants and specialized vessels, supplies technology to nuclear plants at home and abroad as well as to the shipbuilding and defense sectors, including submarines and surface warships.
Combined revenue at the group's affiliates reached 1.61 trillion won ($1.1 billion) last year, more than five times the level in 2000. Businesses other than boilers account for 70% of revenue. Growth is being driven by the heating business, centered on Kiturami Boiler, which has ranked first in Korea's industrial brand power survey for 28 consecutive years, and by the cooling business led by the group's three refrigeration and air conditioning units.
A Kiturami Group official said, "Kiturami's HVAC technology, accumulated over 60 years, is present throughout the sites of Korea's core industries." The official added, "Through this corporate advertisement, we want to effectively convey the technological capability and vision of Kiturami as a comprehensive heating, cooling and energy group that supports Korea's future industries — semiconductors, AI data centers, rechargeable batteries, nuclear power, shipbuilding and defense — beyond the boilers that handle home heating."
