LS Securities (078020.KS) has opened an integrated platform called the API Investment Strategy Center that lets investors build automated trading systems through coding, accelerating its push into the retail algorithmic investing market. By adding generative artificial intelligence that writes trading code from text commands alone, the brokerage has sharply lowered the coding burden that had been the biggest barrier to entry for quant investing.
LS Securities said on the 1st that it had formally launched the API Investment Strategy Center, a dedicated website where its application programming interface services and related data are gathered and managed in one place. Access points that had been split between xingAPI, the firm's Windows-based proprietary professional trading interface, and its web-based OpenAPI have been consolidated into a single platform to improve convenience for users.
The platform supports an AI assistant function linked to ChatGPT. When an investor enters a trading strategy they want to implement, the AI immediately programs working source code to match it. The company also provides a separate transaction (TR) specification document for AI training, allowing the AI to learn the structure of LS Securities' API and build an optimized trading environment.
The firm has also diversified safeguards for novice investors with limited coding knowledge. It offers sample code for major programming languages such as Python, along with a three-stage beginner's guide. A simulated trading environment is available so users can verify the profitability of a strategy before committing actual money. The platform also features WebSocket-based real-time quotes without delay and a Strategy Studio that allows immediate application of widely used technical indicators such as golden cross and Bollinger Bands.
A promotion marking the launch runs through the end of the year. Investors who open an account remotely and register for the OpenAPI service receive commission discounts on domestic stock trades. "We designed the platform to break the fixed notion that API trading has a high barrier to entry, so that individuals can easily connect their own original investment ideas to actual trading," an LS Securities official said. "We will continue to expand infrastructure upgrades and support measures so that investors can enter the algorithmic trading ecosystem without pressure."
