Hana Financial Group has completed the Hana Financial Town it had pursued for 15 years, opening what it calls its Cheongna era.
Hana Financial held an opening ceremony on the 2nd at its Cheongna Headquarters in Incheon. Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo and Incheon Mayor Park Chan-dae attended the event.
Hana Financial began developing the Hana Financial Town in Cheongna International City in 2012, opening an integrated data center in 2017 and the Hana Global Campus in 2019. The Cheongna Headquarters unveiled on the day spans seven basement levels and 15 above-ground floors, with a total floor area of about 128,000 square meters. Roughly 2,200 employees from Hana Financial Group and 10 major affiliates will relocate in stages, bringing the total to about 4,000 finance and IT workers at the site, including those at the existing integrated data center.
The Cheongna Headquarters was designed for collaboration, removing boundaries between departments, divisions and affiliates and equipping the building with a 5G wireless environment and cloud-based PCs. Part of the space will be opened to the public and operated as a venue shared with the local community.
Ham said the opening of the Cheongna Headquarters is "the fruit of the long journey of the Hana Financial Town and the starting point of a major transformation that brings the capabilities of all group companies and employees together in one direction." He added, "Through bold challenges and ceaseless innovation, we will vigorously open a new 100 years." He also stressed, "We will connect finance to Incheon's livelihood policies, future industries and investment policies, and stand together as a regional financial partner supporting the growth of the local economy."
