YANGJU — The city of Yangju in Gyeonggi Province has prepared a special nighttime cultural event where visitors can enjoy history and culture against the backdrop of autumn scenery.
Yangju said on the 2nd that it will hold the "2026 Yangju Government Office Site Night Outing" from 3 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. on the 10th at the Yangju Government Office Site and surrounding areas.
This year's event has expanded well beyond children's activities to include content for adults, remaking itself as an autumn festival spanning all generations. Organizers have lined up a wide range of attractions and activities so that visitors of all ages can take in the distinctive charm of the site on an autumn evening.
The hands-on zone, open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., will offer five programs: making daenggi hair-ribbon keyrings, crafting knotted charm accessories, decorating glitter flowerpots, making bottle cupcakes and blueprint art. Visitors can take part through advance registration or on a first-come, first-served basis at the venue, and those who register in advance will receive souvenirs available only at the Yangju Government Office Site.
Starting at 6 p.m., around sunset, a series of stage performances will add to the atmosphere. The evening opens with the popera group La Classe, followed at 6:40 p.m. by the "Pungnyu (traditional elegant entertainment) Bubble Magic Show" presented by the performance team Namu.
"We have put together a full program so that residents can build special memories at the Yangju Government Office Site this autumn," said Hong Mi-young, head of Yangju's culture and tourism division. "We hope people will visit with family, partners or friends and enjoy the night views and culture of this quiet historic site."
