Searchdog, a startup specializing in artificial intelligence for large-scale industrial data, said on the 23rd that it ran an exhibition booth at Autodesk University 2026, Autodesk's global conference held in Las Vegas from Sept. 15 to 17. The company plans to use the event to widen contacts with potential customers and partners in North America and to source proof-of-concept projects with U.S. clients.
Autodesk University is Autodesk's annual global event, where people from design-and-make industries such as architecture, engineering and construction, manufacturing, and media and entertainment gather to share the latest technologies and cases of industry innovation.
At the exhibition, Searchdog unveiled an AI platform that analyzes CAD drawings and building information modeling data in an integrated way, building on its technology for analyzing very large documents such as contracts, specifications and bid documents in the engineering, procurement and construction sector and the architecture, engineering and construction industry. The platform extracts and links clauses, tables and revision histories from documents with object, geometry and attribute information from drawings and BIM, allowing users to search, compare and verify complex data from industrial sites.
Users can search information scattered across documents and drawings using natural language. The platform can also automatically review whether a design meets national regulations or the requirements set by a project owner. The AI flags items that may conflict, be missing or violate standards, and presents the supporting grounds alongside them. Rather than relying only on the common conversion formats of particular drawing software, the platform structures key information from the original data, improving analytical accuracy and usability.
During the exhibition, Searchdog demonstrated the platform to North American AEC and manufacturing companies and technology partners and introduced use cases that can be applied in local work environments. It discussed the potential for proof-of-concept projects with prospective clients, focusing on bidding, design and compliance tasks that require reviewing documents and design data together.
