
Mostly clear skies are forecast nationwide on the 3rd, National Foundation Day and a Saturday, with daily temperature swings of around 15 degrees Celsius continuing in autumn-like conditions.
Cold air flowing in from the north in recent days has pushed morning temperatures lower. Morning lows nationwide are forecast at 5 to 18 degrees, with daytime highs of 21 to 25 degrees.
Expected morning lows in major cities are 11 degrees in Seoul, 11 in Incheon, 7 in Chuncheon, 11 in Gangneung, 9 in Daejeon, 11 in Daegu, 9 in Jeonju, 12 in Gwangju, 16 in Busan and 18 in Jeju.
Daytime highs are projected at 23 degrees in Seoul, 23 in Incheon, 23 in Chuncheon, 22 in Gangneung, 23 in Daejeon, 23 in Daegu, 25 in Jeonju, 25 in Gwangju, 24 in Busan and 24 in Jeju.
Frost may form in inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon State, the northeastern mountains of North Gyeongsang Province and eastern parts of Jeonbuk State. Ice may also form in Gangwon State's higher mountain areas, requiring care in managing crops.
Skies will be mostly clear across the country, though fog reducing visibility to less than 1 kilometer may develop in the morning in North Chungcheong Province and South Jeolla Province.
Waves will run 0.5 to 2.5 meters in coastal waters of the East Sea and South Sea, and around 0.5 meters off the West Sea. In nearer offshore waters, within about 200 kilometers of the coastline, wave heights are expected at 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea.
