LG Energy Solution (373220.KS) has joined Nvidia's next-generation artificial intelligence factory ecosystem.
The company said on the 22nd that it is taking part in Nvidia's newly launched "DSX Ready" program as a battery energy storage system (BESS) provider.
Nvidia is building its DSX AI factory platform to integrate and optimize the entire process of designing, building and operating AI factories. DSX Ready is a program that certifies products and solutions from partner companies that meet the platform's requirements.
The product that met Nvidia's DSX Ready requirements is the JF2 AC Link, based on high-capacity lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. The product is considered well suited to AI data centers because of its high safety, energy efficiency and long lifespan. Its modular design shortens construction time, allowing flexible and rapid expansion in line with the continuous scaling of data centers.
Built on power conversion system (PCS) technology, the JF2 AC Link also offers strengths in power control and load management. LG Energy Solution has enhanced functions such as voltage support, which delivers stable power even when grid voltage drops or rises sharply.
Through its participation in DSX Ready, LG Energy Solution plans to accelerate growth in the fast-expanding market for energy storage systems at North American AI data centers. Industry watchers expect the DSX Ready certification to help the company win ESS orders in North America, and to give it an advantage should Nvidia later select battery suppliers directly.
