Mirae Asset Securities (006800) is accelerating its push to build an integrated global investment platform with a complete overhaul of its mobile trading system. The brokerage plans to extend MAPS, its single global platform, beyond Hong Kong and South Korea to the U.S. and other markets worldwide. Behind the move is a judgment that reflecting the "Mirae Asset 3.0" strategy — centered on converging traditional and digital assets — in MAPS will establish it as a differentiated investment platform.
Mirae Asset Securities said on the 1st that it is renaming its mobile trading system, M-STOCK, as MAPS and converting it into an integrated investment platform. The platform made its debut at the firm's Hong Kong unit in June and has now launched officially in South Korea as its second market. The revamp focuses on upgrading a mobile trading system built around stock trading into a platform that also supports portfolio management and investment decisions. The company also plans to enable digital asset trading on the platform, with the goal of evolving MAPS into what it calls a sustainable global investment platform regardless of country or asset type.
Underpinning the shift to MAPS is "Mirae Asset 3.0," the group's medium- to long-term vision. The strategy rests on two pillars: the convergence of traditional and digital assets, and artificial intelligence. MAPS has accordingly been designed to handle digital assets alongside traditional financial products such as stocks and bonds within a single platform. The strategy is to link investment experiences across countries through MAPS, improving global access and providing a consistent investment experience, while offering differentiated services powered by AI.

Mirae Asset Group Chairman Park Hyeon-joo has stressed internally that "Mirae Asset 3.0 means Mirae Asset is transforming into an AI-based tech company," according to people familiar with the matter. That ambition aligns with the goal of creating an "AI everywhere" environment on MAPS, in which AI operates continuously across the entire investment journey. Over the medium to long term, Mirae Asset plans to develop MAPS into an active wealth management system it calls "agentic WM."
Where existing AI stopped at summarizing information and presenting alternatives, agentic AI detects market changes on its own and proposes investment actions based on a client's investment goals and constraints. Clients retain control over important investment decisions and execution, but the model has a dedicated AI agent and a professional adviser work as a team to manage a client's assets closely, even when the client does not log into the app.
Another feature is the MAPS home screen, which is organized around two sections: "Discover," where users can check various types of investment information, and "My Investments." The design makes it easier to review market trends, major indexes and other investment information. The company has also introduced Market Now, an AI service that summarizes intraday market movements in a single sentence every two hours.
Also notable is a new "Digital Assets" menu that provides market and price information for the sector. The move is seen as looking ahead to future synergies with DigitalX, the cryptocurrency exchange formerly known as Korbit that Mirae Asset recently acquired. The platform also supplies price information on U.S. unlisted shares, including from Nasdaq Private Market, adding information on innovative companies worldwide alongside listed stocks. An official at Mirae Asset Securities said the firm will "complete a model that goes a step beyond the innovation of Robinhood, the platform that changed the paradigm of the U.S. investment market."
