South Korea's new-home presale market is taking a week off in the second week of October because of the Chuseok holiday. One public-backed private rental housing project is accepting applications in Busan, while two model homes open in the greater Seoul area.
Two complexes — Hyangnam Station Grove Switzen in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, and Ssangyong The Platinum Hangang in Yangpyeong County — will open model homes on the 8th and begin presale marketing in earnest, according to real estate research firm Real Today on the 4th.

KCC Engineering & Construction (021320) plans to open the model home for Hyangnam Station Grove Switzen in Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong. It is the first new apartment complex supplied in the Hyangnam Station area of the Shin-Ansan Line in five years, with 933 units across seven buildings ranging from two basement levels to a maximum of 29 floors above ground, in sizes of 71 to 147 square meters of exclusive floor area. Once the Shin-Ansan Line extension is completed, scheduled for the end of 2028, residents will be able to travel from Hyangnam Station to Yeouido without transferring. Hawon and Seobong elementary schools and Hagil middle and high schools are located near the complex, and a scenic park will be built in front of it. Depending on the unit type, the complex will feature separated bathrooms and glass balustrades designed for views, with open balconies planned for some tower-type units.
Ssangyong Engineering & Construction (012650) is supplying Ssangyong The Platinum Hangang in Yongdam-ri, Yangseo-myeon, Yangpyeong County, with 333 units across six buildings standing up to 19 floors. The complex consists mainly of mid-to-large units of 74 to 146 square meters of exclusive floor area, sizes favored by owner-occupier buyers. Located within walking distance of Yangsu Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, the complex offers travel times of about 30 minutes to Wangsimni Station and about 50 minutes to Sinsa Station on express trains. It sits near Dumulmeori, where the Namhan and Bukhan rivers meet, offering river views. The design also features glass balustrades and panoramic view layouts to maximize those vistas.
The only subscription window this week is for a public-backed private rental housing project in Bujeon-dong, Busanjin District, Busan. Seomyeon Jiwon The View Dream Apartment, which comprises 117 urban-living housing units and 59 apartment units ranging from 23 to 59 square meters of exclusive floor area, will take first-priority applications on the 6th.
