
Actor Baek Jin-hee, 36, will marry in January. Her partner is a man she met last year while studying English in Canada.
Her agency, Management AM9, confirmed the marriage on the 7th. The wedding will be held on January 23. The groom-to-be is an older office worker living in Canada. The agency did not disclose details such as his identity, the venue or the format of the ceremony.
The couple first met while Baek was studying English in Canada last year and later began dating. They decided to marry after maintaining a long-distance relationship between South Korea and Canada.
Baek will continue her acting career after the wedding. She has chosen to split her time between Seoul and Canada, and will keep acting while running her personal YouTube channel. The agency said there are no significant changes to her schedule.
Baek made her debut in 2008 with the film "Searching for a Person." She gained recognition in 2011 with the MBC sitcom "High Kick! Revenge of the Short Legs."
