DAEJEON — Daejeon Mayor Huh Tae-jung attended "Job Talk Live," a forum bringing young job seekers together with working professionals, at Daedeok Hall in Chungnam National University's International Cultural Center on the 29th, exchanging views on youth employment and career paths.
Job Talk Live is part of the Daejeon Settlement-Oriented Youth Employment Comprehensive Project, launched in 2024 to improve young people's perceptions of local companies and to support their career growth and long-term settlement in the city.
Five participants — including C-level executives, human resources managers and recent hires from two local companies popular with young job seekers, Alteogen and Inspace — met with about 200 young job seekers to discuss the job preparation process, job duties and work experience, workplace life, and employment at and settling into local companies.
"Daejeon will also put in place a range of policies so that young people in the region can stay here after graduation and plan their futures," Mayor Huh said.
