DAEJEON — The Korea Forest Service said it will run lifelong learning programs on forestry in Seoul and Daejeon from Oct. 1 through Dec. 3.
The agency developed lifelong learning programs on forest health and forest-based income last year and piloted them at adult education venues including the Life Care Lifelong Learning Center in Seoul's Seodaemun District and Seoul Citizens' University. This year it added four new courses, organized around forestry jobs, forest products, forest management and forest ecology — fields chosen for adult learner demand and their fit with existing lifelong learning offerings.
The courses will be offered at eight institutions in Seoul and Daejeon, including Seoul Citizens' University's central and eastern campuses and its Campus Revisited program, lifelong learning centers in the Seodaemun, Gwangjin, Geumcheon and Gwanak districts, and the Forest Welfare Comprehensive Education Center in Daejeon.
