Coway (021240.KS) said on Sept. 29 that it is launching three mattress models equipped with BEREX Sleep Sync, a feature that automatically measures and analyzes body signals such as breathing and heart rate during sleep.
BEREX Sleep Sync is an integrated sleep care function that tracks and analyzes sleep without requiring a separate app operation or a wearable device. A sleep sensor built into the mattress detects subtle breathing movements and heart rate from the moment a user lies down, collecting sleep data.
The data is delivered each morning as a sleep analysis report through Coway's IoCare+ app. Users can check their sleep score, bedtime, wake-up time and total sleep duration, and sleep onset latency, as well as information on each sleep stage — deep sleep, light sleep, REM sleep and awakenings — along with average, minimum and maximum heart rates and respiration rates during sleep. The data is provided on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
The feature also compiles sleep data from the past seven days to classify a user's sleep habits and condition into five types, and offers practical guidance for each type. Rather than simply measuring sleep data, it is designed to help users understand and manage their own sleep habits.
BEREX Sleep Sync is applied to queen and super single sizes, which are optimized for single users. It is installed in three models, ranging from a smart mattress with nine-step smart firmness adjustment and a stretching function to the hotel-style Signature Fireshield, which uses flame-retardant padding.
