Actor Kwak Si-yang, 39, and actor Yoo Ji-ae, 33, formerly of the girl group Lovelyz, shared their thoughts in handwritten letters after surprising fans with news of their engagement.
The couple posted the letters side by side on their respective social media accounts on the 3rd.
"I have found a precious person I want to spend my life with," Kwak wrote. "In hard times we will be each other's steady support, and in happy moments we will laugh together and build a warm home."
Yoo wrote that she had also found someone she wants to cherish, lean on and share the years ahead with. "I would be glad if you would warmly congratulate this new beginning," she said.
The two, whose relationship had not been publicly known, will marry on November 28 after about a year of dating. The ceremony will be held privately, with only family, relatives and close friends invited.
Kwak made his debut in the 2014 film "Night Flight" and has appeared in the television dramas "Oh My Ghost," "Lovers of the Red Sky" and "Flex X Cop." Yoo debuted in 2014 as a member of Lovelyz, releasing songs including "Ah-Choo" and "Destiny," before turning to acting.
