Comedian Lee Bong-won spoke about the acting careers of his son and daughter.
Lee appeared on "New Woman," a web variety show on the YouTube channel Rolling Thunder, on the 14th.
On the show, comedian Cho Hye-ryun brought up the children of Lee and his wife, comedian Park Mi-sun. "Both the daughter and the son are actors. The kids love acting so much," Cho said.
Lee said his daughter, Lee Yu-ri, studied theater and film at Hanyang University. His son, Lee Sang-yeop, is now working as an actor under the name Choi Sang-yeop.
"The son came to audition for our show 'I Love You, Mom,' and his name was Choi Sang-yeop. The surname was different, so I had no idea," Cho said. "It turned out he was the son of Lee Bong-won and Park Mi-sun."
Lee responded, "Even the news that he had changed his name to Choi Sang-yeop was the first I had heard of it."
He added, "At home I thought, 'What kind of acting is that?' But on stage he delivered every line clearly. He was good."
Lee also said he wanted to help his children in their careers. "I want to do something for Sang-yeop and Yu-ri on television, but they say no," he said.
Lee and Park married in 1993 and have one son and one daughter.
