Ko Young-wook, a former member of the 1990s group Roo'Ra, has publicly criticized fellow entertainers Tak Jae-hoon and the comedian couple Kim Ji-min and Kim Joon-ho in a series of social media posts.
On the 6th, Ko posted on his social media account a screenshot of Tak appearing on SBS (034120) program "My Ugly Duckling."
"Something I didn't realize before — Tak Jae-hoon's father was doing so well, so why did he beg from me so much back in the Roo'Ra days?" Ko wrote. "And thinking about how I've never once heard a word of thanks from his mother, who knows all about this situation, leaves me feeling a certain way."
The screenshot he shared showed Tak on the program along with an on-screen caption reading "Anxiety."
Ko referred to the wealth of Tak's father, claiming that he had provided extensive financial assistance in the past but had received no expression of gratitude.
Ko also shared an article introducing the newlywed home of Kim Ji-min and Kim Joon-ho, adding a pointed comment: "Living in all that exhaust fumes, what's so great about it that you have to show it off?"
These public attacks are not the first from Ko, who has repeatedly invoked colleagues he once worked with or met in the entertainment industry.
In recent months, he has named and publicly criticized numerous entertainers on his social media accounts, including Yoo Jae-suk, Shin Dong-yup, Lee Byung-hun, Lee Min-jung, Kang Hyung-wook, Lee Chan-won, Lee Ji-hye, Lee Sang-min, Tak Jae-hoon and Park Ha-sun.
Ko debuted with Roo'Ra in 1994 but was later indicted on charges of sexually assaulting and molesting three minors over a period of about two years starting in 2010. The Supreme Court finalized a prison sentence of two years and six months in 2013, along with orders for five years of public disclosure and notification of his personal information and three years of electronic ankle monitoring.
