Rhymer, head of Brand New Music, is set to reveal his ideal type of partner.
The rapper, producer and label executive makes his first appearance as a new cast member on Channel A's "Groom Class 2," airing Sept. 11 at 9 p.m.
On the program, Rhymer says he decided to join the show after being encouraged by longtime friend Kim Sung-soo, a returning cast member. "I was wondering whether it was too late for a new start, and then Kim Sung-soo, a close friend since my 20s, recommended I enroll," he says.
Rhymer draws attention in the studio for a youthful appearance and toned physique that belie his age of 49. Lee Seung-chul, Tak Jae-hoon and Song Hae-na express admiration, saying he is "really well maintained for his age," while Kim Yo-han says he was surprised: "I met him for the first time today, and his body was so solid that I thought he was a senior in the fitness world."
Rhymer also opens up his bachelor pad and daily self-care routine. Living in a neatly organized home, he takes olive oil and supplements on an empty stomach right after waking up and works out with dumbbells placed around the house.
Watching this, Tak Jae-hoon asks, "How about a female bodybuilder as a girlfriend?" Rhymer replies that muscular women appeal to him. "Personally, I find muscular women cool and sexy," he says. "It would be even better because we could work out and stay in shape together."
The episode also shows Rhymer seeking relationship advice from an AI. He asks the AI, which calls him "big brother," whether he is ready to meet a good woman, and the AI replies, "Yes! I think you are more than ready." The AI then advises that the key going forward is to meet someone who meets his standards without rushing, before bringing up an episode from Rhymer's past that leaves him flustered.
Caught off guard by the sudden disclosure, Rhymer hurriedly cuts the AI off, saying, "Hey, stop it!" Tak Jae-hoon jokes that the AI "needs to be told to keep quiet." Rhymer adds to the laughter by replying, "If that thing turns on me, I'm in serious trouble."
Rhymer, born in May 1977, is 49. He debuted in 1996 and founded Brand New Music in 2011. He married Ahn Hyun-mo, a former reporter turned broadcaster and interpreter, in 2017, but the couple announced their divorce in November 2023, six years into the marriage.
"Groom Class 2" airs every Friday at 9 p.m.
