Broadcaster Kim Gura said his target retirement age is 60.
A video titled "Is it me, or Myung-soo? Cho Hoe-ryeon goes on a one-on-one date after 30 years with Kim Gura, a male friend she once considered marrying" was posted on the YouTube channel "Cho Hoe-ryeon: Cho Hoe-ryeon" on the 16th.
In the video, Cho Hoe-ryeon talked with Kim Gura over a meal about a range of topics. "I'm so grateful that the two of us are both still going strong in 2026," she said. "If I take care of my health and manage my image, I think I could keep doing this for more than 20 more years, don't you?"
Kim shook his head and replied, "No, no." Cho asked, "But didn't you say you were going to quit now?" Kim answered, "My target (for retirement) is 60."
"You always have to think about life after retirement. Saying 'I'm going to work until I die' isn't right," Kim said. "I'll work hard until 60 for now, and after that, if opportunities come my way, I'll do it (broadcasting)."
Kim was born in October 1970 and is currently 55. He has a son, Gree (Kim Dong-hyun), from his marriage in 2020, and had a daughter later in life after remarrying in 2021.
